Halloween Card in a Box Using Cricut and Close To My Heart

I enjoy designing these "Cards in a Box" and they are so popular right now.  This one is themed for Halloween. I used the new Close To My Heart "Scaredy Cat" paper Packet and "Halloween Greetings" My Acrylix stamp set.  For the die cuts I used the Cricut cartridges A Frightful Affair and Happy Hauntings. I inked the arms and skulls sticking out of the ground so that they seem to be dirty. The ghosts in the trees are cut from velum and lightly lined with glitter around the edges - just very lightly.  This card in a box fits perfectly into an A2 size envelope.

I have been waiting to have an inspiration for a Card In A Box. This week my daughter called to let me know her boss and mentor who's last name is Fox would be leaving...I finally had my inspiration. 

Using the Close To My Heart Ariana paper pack and the Wild About Love acrylix stamp set I designed this adorable card in a box. I used my Cricut machine and the Give A Hoot cartridge to make the trees and to cut out the stamped images I used my Silhouette Cameo.  It was fun and easy to make and fits perfectly into an A2 size envelope. 

It has been a fantastic summer with family visiting us frequently over the last few weeks. The weather has been perfect. It was great having everyone around and little ones running through the house. But all good things must come to an end and now it is back to crafting!!  This post is a beautiful birthday card that I made for my sister. She loves it!!

I love squash fold cards and books.  You can do so many things with them. For this card I used a simple squash fold to create this adorable Anniversary card for my Daughter and Son-In-Law. This beautiful tropical design shirt was inspired by my Husbands large closet full of tropical shirts - so I began searching the internet for a template. As simple to make as the regular dress shirt - but with a front that is ink blended, this shirt card makes a fantastic masculine card for that very special person in your life.

Thinking of You and Spectrum Noir Markers

My flower gardens are in bloom and with them brings many types of God's beautiful winged creatures. I have hummingbird feeders all around my yard and many natural plants that attract them. They are so fun to watch. I love it when they battle over the feeders and playfully torment each other. So tiny yet so powerful. 

Inspired by the spring colors and adorable birds I have used the colors from Spectrum Noir to blend and highlight this stamped image by Inkadinkado.  It catches perfectly a scene from my gardens that plays each day. A true blessing of God. 

You're An Amazing Dad - Father's Day or Birthday Card

Inspiration for this card was found on the internet in other similar designs that portrayed cars, motorcyles, boats and other big boy toys.....that father's would love. The simplistic colors of black and white stamping of the background is what in my opinion makes the card stand out. 

For this background I used the Close To My Heart Sets Born To Ride and Maximum Power. For the Sentiment I used a Hampton Art stamp. In order to show each of the stamps I used a 5" x 7" card.  You can modify this card to stamp for children or other occasions.

Father's Day Shirt Card

I sometimes find it difficult to come up with ideas for masculine cards. This fun fold card is a favorite and perfect for Father's day, birthday or any event for that favorite guy in your life. This card is quick and easy to make (it only looks hard to do - trust me!). There are many designs are all over the internet but I like this one. Celebrate 30! With Close To My Heart

It has been another beautiful day at the beach. Weather is cool enough that yard work is not a struggle and that is always a bonus. I am hoping for a beach or pool day soon. I am a bit behind on my summer tan.  

Today's card is for those wonderful Father's out there. I used the Triple Time Stamping technique and it turned out beautiful. Very easy to make and as always fun to put together.  I hope everyone is having a great day!

I would like to thank everyone for their support the last few weeks. I have not been able to add to my blog often since my daughter and son-in-law gave birth to their first son and since we had to take a trip to Alabama to assist in the auction of my mother's estate. 

Finally we are back at home and somewhat back to normal. The phone calls, emails, texts and cards from every with prayers and support have meant so much to us. We thank you. 

Finally...A New Card...YAY!!!!

Today I made a card to give with a gift that I had purchased for a very special lady in my life. For this card I used the Close To My Heart Lollydoodle Paper Pack with Slate as the card base. 

For the focal point I used the Close To My Heart My Acrylix stamp set Sensational Season and Words of Comfort for the sentiment.  I can't wait to hear from her when she receives her gift and card!  

I am so glad to be back. It is going to be a beautiful spring and summer!!!
